Screw locking varnish is a special adhesive that is applied to or inside a screw connection to prevent or hinder the screw connection from loosening independently and undesirably. The term "screw locking compound", which is commonly used in German-speaking countries, has nothing to do with paints used for surface coating. Screw locking compounds are available in different strength classes and for different temperature ranges.
